Keep Your Website Updated, Backed Up and Looked After

Your website still needs updates, backups, security checks and the odd small change after launch. I take care of those jobs each month and keep an eye on uptime, so you have one person to contact when something needs attention. I can look after WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and custom-built sites.

from £29/mo

Month to month, with 30 days' notice to end. The exact allowance is agreed before we start.

How it works

1

Quick health check

I take a look at your site — what it's built on, how it's hosted, and where the weak spots are — then recommend the right care plan.

2

I set up the care

I configure the agreed backups, security checks, monitoring and update routine, then show you what the plan covers and what it does not.

3

I look after it, month after month

Checks happen on the agreed schedule, and requested tweaks use the monthly allowance. Plans run month to month and either of us can end one with 30 days' notice.

Good questions

What exactly do your WordPress support plans cover?

The essentials that keep a site healthy: core, theme and plugin updates, security hardening, malware scanning, off-site backups and uptime monitoring. My fuller WordPress care package adds regular small content and design tweaks, speed checks and priority support. We pick the tier that fits how busy and how important your site is.

I'm not on WordPress — can you still help?

Potentially. WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and custom sites need different update, backup and recovery routines. I check the platform first and write the supported tasks, access requirements and exclusions into your plan.

Why do I need ongoing WordPress care?

WordPress core, themes and plugins change regularly, and delayed updates can increase compatibility and security risk. A care plan provides a routine for testing updates, backups and monitoring, but no maintenance service can promise that a site will never fail or be attacked.

What if my site gets hacked or goes down?

Monitoring can alert me to an outage and backups may provide a restore point. I investigate under the response terms in your plan, explain the available recovery options and help reduce the same risk recurring; recovery time and data availability depend on the incident and backup state.

How much do WordPress care packages cost?

Care plans start from £29/month for the essentials, with fuller tiers for more hands-on work. I confirm the allowance, response terms and any initial recovery or migration work after a free review; the plan then runs month to month with 30 days' notice.

Am I tied into a long contract?

The plans run month to month, and either of us can end one with 30 days' notice. You deal directly with me for the work and support covered by your agreed tier.

Can I add AI chat or automation later?

Yes. We can scope website chat or lead-capture separately after the care plan is in place. I will check compatibility, explain the additional setup and running costs, and only add it when there is a clear job for it to do.

Does a website care plan include hosting, domains and email support?

Only where those items are named in your plan. Hosting, domain registration, DNS and mailboxes may belong to separate suppliers, so I record who controls each service and quote migration or email work separately rather than implying every technical issue is included for £29.

How often are website backups taken and are restores tested?

The frequency and retention depend on how often the site changes and the platform’s options. Your plan states the schedule and storage route; restore checks confirm that a backup is usable, although no backup process can guarantee recovery from every incident.

Are redesigns, new features and large content changes part of monthly website maintenance?

Small changes can use the agreed allowance, while a redesign, integration or substantial new section needs its own scope. That separation protects routine maintenance time and means you approve the cost before larger development begins.
