Privacy Policy
This explains what information I receive, why I need it and how I look after it. The short version: I use your details to reply or deliver the work, and I do not sell them or add you to marketing lists without asking.

Who I am
I'm Preston AI Services — practical AI integrations and automation for local businesses, based in Preston, Lancashire, trading as a sole trader. For anything in this policy you can reach me at info@prestonaiservices.com or on 01772 485 348. I'm the data controller for personal data collected through prestonaiservices.com.
What I collect and why
Details you give me
When you call, email, WhatsApp me or fill in the contact form, I receive whatever you send — typically your name, phone number, email address and what you need. I use it to reply to you, prepare quotes and deliver the work you've asked for. If you send a form by email, the website passes those details to a server-side mail handler, which emails the enquiry to me and sends you a copy. The form does not write your enquiry to a website database. If you choose WhatsApp instead, WhatsApp opens with your message ready for you to review and send.
Analytics
I do not currently run Google Analytics or advertising trackers on this site. If I add optional analytics later, I will update this policy and ask for consent before setting any non-essential cookies where the law requires it.
Server logs
Like almost every website, my server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running properly. These are kept for a short period and then deleted.
Lawful basis
I rely on legitimate interest to respond to enquiries and keep the site secure, and contractwhen processing is needed to deliver work you've commissioned. If I introduce an optional feature that needs consent, I will ask before using it. I never sell your data or add you to marketing lists without asking.
Who I share data with
Nobody, except the services needed to run things: my hosting and email infrastructure, WhatsApp/Meta if you choose to contact me that way, and the AI or automation providers used for services I set up. If you become a client, invoicing details may be shared with my accountant as required by law. I don't transfer your data outside the UK/EEA beyond what these providers do under their own UK GDPR-compliant safeguards.
Client project data
If I set up an AI assistant, phone answering or automation for your business — or provide managed AI services — I may handle data belonging to your business (content, customer enquiries, records, credentials). I treat it as confidential, use it only to do the job, and act as a data processor on your instructions where applicable.
How long I keep things
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them. If you become a client, records connected to invoicing are kept for six years as required by HMRC. Everything else is deleted when it's no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data I hold about you, object to processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Just email info@prestonaiservices.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
I do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. Essential browser storage may be used where a feature needs it to work, but it is not used to follow you around the web. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the public pages will still work.
Changes
If this policy changes I'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Ring me — you'll get a real person, not a department.
